Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses VoteChain (websites, apps, APIs, and related services) operated by Deepsink Partners Technologies. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

By using VoteChain, you agree to this AUP. Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or termination of accounts, and referral to authorities where appropriate.

1. Lawful and respectful use

You must comply with applicable law. You must not use VoteChain to:

• Harm people: harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech, incitement of violence, or exploitation.
• Distribute malware or interfere with systems (including ours or third parties’).
• Phish, scam, or defraud others, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
• Share illegal content or content that infringes others’ intellectual property or privacy.

2. Platform abuse

You must not:

• Spam invitations, messages, or notifications, or send unsolicited bulk communications through the Service.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service except through documented APIs and within rate limits and terms we provide.
• Circumvent technical limits, paywalls, authentication, or security controls (including rate limits, CAPTCHAs, or token restrictions).
• Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code or trade secrets from the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits.
• Resell or broker access to the Service without our written agreement.

3. Accounts and credentials

• Keep credentials confidential; do not share accounts in ways that undermine security or auditability.
• Do not create synthetic, duplicate, or misleading accounts to evade enforcement or manipulate votes.
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Voting integrity

You must not:

• Buy, sell, trade, or coerce votes or credentials.
• Impersonate eligible voters or delegates.
• Manipulate outcomes through technical exploitation, collusion, or concealed automation.
• Use VoteChain to run votes that are manifestly illegal in your jurisdiction when you know or should reasonably know that to be the case.

Organisers are responsible for lawful, fair process; we provide software only.

5. API and mobile clients

API tokens and app sessions must be used only as authorised. Automated access must respect rate limits and must not degrade the Service for others.

6. Intellectual property

Do not upload content you are not entitled to use. Respect copyrights, trademarks, and third-party rights.

7. Enforcement and monitoring

We may investigate suspected violations. We are not obligated to monitor all activity. We may remove data, suspend access, or terminate accounts with or without notice where we reasonably believe this AUP or the law has been violated, or to prevent harm.

We may cooperate with law enforcement and regulators when required by law.
